What We Have Done

ice-TV has been producing quality content in Asia for over nine years. Our projects have spanned the genres of game shows, reality, infotainment, scripted and branded content for regional marketing and media agencies as well as major broadcasters.

Our first branded content project was in 2001 for the launch of Virgin Mobile in Singapore. The Singapore audience had no perception of the brand personality of Virgin so ice-TV was approached by Virgin to produce a TV series called UPWARDLY MOBILE. The series and website embraced the edgy, irreverent love of life brand personality of Virgin. Awareness of the Virgin brand increased three fold over the 13-week campaign period.

2005 saw the launch of an original male model reality series in Thailand. Created by David Searl, M-THAILAND was a perfect platform for seamless brand and product integration. Nivea Skin Care for Men choose the show as a platform to launch their product range in Thailand. Their brand message was woven into the storyline as a challenge where the contestants had to produce and star in their own TV commercial showcasing the Nivea products.

ice-TV was the first to launch interactive SMS chat television in Mainland China. The 2-hourly, 7-day per week show entitled, iTXT, was receiving up to 20,000 SMS chat messages per night. Another measure of its success was the fact that fans would send messages on the weekends arranging informal fan club gatherings. The show had taken on a life of its own at that stage.

Mr Kiasu was more than just a comic book character created by Johnny Lau in Singapore. It was an icon of Singapore culture. ice-TV Introduced KATH AND KIM creator, Ted Emery to develop and launch the live action comedy series, MR KIASU, on MediaCorp Channel 5. The show was an instant hit with the local audiences and went into 3 series.
