Content production company, ice-TV, has re-launched across Asia with a focus on developing and producing branded content.
Originally founded in 2002, by David Searl, the company has produced high profile projects such as the ad-funded UPWARDLY MOBILE for the launch of Virgin Mobile in Singapore and regional gameshow THE CHAIR. Searl was the Senior Vice President (SVP) Production of STAR TV before he took on the role as SVP Content Partnerships, launching the Content Partnerships branded content division of STAR’s International Ad Sales department.
Working with Searl at ice-TV as Creative Director / Executive Producer will be former STAR TV Senior Producer, Sham Baharom. His role at STAR TV included production of the regional TV Series AMP AROUND ASIA, the conceptualisation and production of short form content for Clean and Clear, Canon Selphy and HP Dreams Come True campaigns.
This brings the team together again that created and produced the highly successful HP SPACE regional reality series that aired on Star World and Channel [V] across South East Asia, India and Greater China at the end of 2009.
David Searl, Managing Director of ice-TV, said: “Brands in Asia are more than ever looking for content solutions. With our team’s extensive branded content experience we are well positioned to place ice-TV as a leader in this space.”
Cheuk Chiang, CEO, PHD Asia Pacific said “Ice-TV are one of Asia Pacific’s most experienced branded content companies. They can truly bring to life ideas across various platforms and make things happen. On top of this, they also have the unique experience and ability to make good ideas great through their valuable creative input”.
Ice-TV’s Shanghai office will be headed by George Ng who after two decades of media experience in Hong Kong and Japan, has been producing and developing content for international brands and leading China broadcasters such as Channel Young and Oriental TV.
